Many producers face low output and high defective pellets due to improper adjustment of the pellet machine.
For stable production, control raw materials and machine parameters properly:
Maintain material moisture at 12%–18%.
Too low moisture causes powdering, while excessive moisture leads to pellet cracking and combustion caking.
Keep crushed material size between 1–5 mm to avoid poor forming and broken pellets.
Select proper ring die compression ratio:
5–9 for hardwood, 9–12 for straw/rice husk, and 5.5–6.5 for mixed materials.
Set the gap between roller and ring die to 0.1–0.3 mm for smooth operation.
Keep hard impurities like stones and irons out of the pellet machine to protect wearing parts.
Attention to details guarantees high efficiency and lower costs.
