Pressure rollers and ring dies are both important and vulnerable components of pellet machines. Theoretically, the wear rate of pressure rollers is 2.5 times higher than that of ring dies. Moreover, the function of the pressure roller is to compress raw materials into the ring die, and its working conditions are relatively harsh. In addition to normal wear from the raw materials, the presence of hard particles such as sand and iron filings in the raw materials exacerbates the wear on the pressure rollers. Excessive wear on the pressure rollers is costly, increasing expenses and affecting the pellet forming rate. How can we reduce pressure roller wear? Please carefully check the following key points:
1. During assembly, check whether the bearings inside the pressure roller are properly installed and their tightness.
2. Check whether the oil injection hole of the pressure roller eccentric shaft is blocked.
3. Check whether the pressure roller retaining ring is protruding.
4. Pay attention to the fit clearance between the pressure roller and the ring die to avoid accelerated wear due to insufficient clearance.
