What causes cracked peanut shell pellets produced by a pellet mill? (1)

2026-02-06 09:57:53

Peanut shells can be processed into pellet feed or wood fuel using a pellet machine. In actual production, various problems arise, such as poor pellet formation and cracks. The following points should be noted during processing:

1. Moisture: The typical moisture content of raw materials is around 13%-18%. However, due to the inherent hardness of peanut shells, the specific value needs to be determined based on actual production conditions.

2. Particle size: If the raw material particle size is too large, exceeding the die aperture, it will cause poor adhesion, resulting in broken or fragmented finished pellets.
