What conditions are required for the release of lignin stickiness?

The biomass pellet machine is suitable for pressing biomass materials. The biomass materials contain lignin components, and conditions are required for the release of lignin stickiness.

The viscous release of lignin requires conditions. What conditions are needed to release this viscosity?

Let’s first look at this coordinate chart: the x coordinate represents the humidity of the material, and the y coordinate represents the temperature when extruding the pellets. When the material humidity is 15%, the extrusion temperature needs to be about 80 degrees. When the humidity is 20%, the extrusion temperature The temperature of compression molding is best controlled at 90 degrees. When the material humidity is within this range, the viscosity will be released more fully, and the pellets will be easier to form. When the humidity is 25%, the required extrusion temperature will rise sharply. The mark on our picture is 150 degrees, which is actually much higher than 150 degrees. It takes temperatures above 150 degrees or even higher to release the stickiness of lignin. When the pellet machine is working normally, the normal temperature of the grinding gun is about 80 degrees to 120 degrees, which is a fixed value range and will not exceed this temperature range. Therefore, when the moisture is above 20%, Lignin cannot meet the release conditions and is difficult to be extruded into shape. This is why the humidity of biomass materials should be controlled in the range of 15% to 20%.
