Troubleshooting Smoking & Blocked Discharge Issues of Pellet Machines (2)

2026-08-06 10:40:51

Improper Clearance Between Ring Die and Roller

A pellet machine forms pellets by means of compression between pressing rollers and the ring die.

An overly‑tight clearance will prevent normal discharging and even generate excessive heat.

The solution is to adjust the clearance to a suitable value.

Worn‑out or Damaged Wear‑Resistant Rings and Sealing Rings

Large amounts of impurities in raw materials may get jammed inside wear‑resistant rings and sealing rings, triggering abnormal wear or damage.

Severe dust leakage and smoke will consequently occur.

In this case, simply replace the wear‑resistant rings and sealing rings.

Excessively Fast Feeding Speed

Feeding during pellet production shall stay steady, and the feeding rate shall match the rated capacity of the machine.

Uneven feeding speed or excessive feed volume can clog the feeding inlet.

Failure to halt the feeder in good time will lead to a choked‑up pellet machine.
