Can the collapsed bell mouth of a pellet mill ring die be repaired? (1)

2025-09-09 10:17:55

The ring die is a critical and vulnerable component of the pellet mill. With production and use, the die gradually wears out and fails. Analysis of actual ring die wear and failure reveals that, in addition to factors such as the die's design parameters, quality, and assembly, fatigue is the primary cause of failure. Research teams have observed that the bell mouth wears most rapidly during use. Deformation or wear away of the bell mouth reduces extrusion pressure, preventing material from being extruded through the die hole, leading to blockage and die failure.
