How to solve the problem of feed not feeding during pellet milling? (1)

2026-01-28 10:16:03

Some customers have encountered a situation where the pellet mill simply won't feed material during pelleting. What could be the problem? JNSHARE, based on years of experience, has summarized the following points:

1. First, we need to check the pellet machine motor. If the motor power is insufficient, there won't be enough force to compress the raw material.

2. Raw material moisture and particle size. Too much moisture will result in poorly formed pellets, which will crack and crumble easily when squeezed. They will also easily clump together inside the machine, preventing feeding and emitting large amounts of white smoke. However, if the raw material is too dry, it will be crushed into powder and leak through the die, causing blockage and preventing feed. If the raw material particle size is too large, the pellet mill will not work effectively. Additionally, accumulated debris or foreign objects inside the pellet mill can clog the discharge port, preventing pellet production.
