Rice husks are processed into biomass pellets through a pellet machine, becoming an excellent renewable fuel. After being pressed into pellets, the bulk density of the rice husks is greatly increased, making them easier to transport and store in large quantities, and they also burn more cleanly. Rice husk pellets are generally processed by removing impurities from the husks before being transported through a silo to the pellet machine for pelleting. However, during the pelleting process, pellet formation problems, such as loose pellets, can occur. Four factors generally affect pellet formation: raw material particle size, raw material moisture content, die compression ratio, and manual operation.
