For those of you who use pellet mills to make feed pellets, did you know that, according to research by the American Soybean Association, among the factors affecting pellet quality, the formula accounts for 40%, the grinding force for 20%, the conditioning effect for 20%, the pelleting process control for 15%, and the cooling conditions for 5%? The quality of processed feed pellets is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
1. Stability: This refers to the stability of the pellets after forming, during cooling, grading, transportation, and storage.
2. Appearance quality: For example, whether the pellet surface is smooth and whether the color and length are uniform.
3. Hardness: Different animals have different requirements for pellet hardness.
4. Degree of pellet maturation.
5. Appropriate pellet moisture content.
