The service life of a pellet machine's ring die is generally calculated based on production output. However, factors such as the die material and manufacturing process, the raw materials and formulations used in production, the pelletizer's skill level, and machine operating conditions can all affect the die's service life. Experienced pellet machine operators know that the bell mouth of a pellet machine's ring die wears most rapidly during use. When the bell mouth is worn away, the extrusion force during extrusion decreases, preventing material from being extruded through the die hole, leading to die blockage and die failure.
