How deeply should a pellet mill's ring die be worn before it should be scrapped, or replaced? What are the criteria for ring die wear failure? (1)

Due to the mutual compression between the ring die and the rollers, and the friction between the ring die and the raw material, the primary form of failure in a pellet mill is wear, followed by fatigue. Ring die wear not only reduces its service life but also directly affects the pellet mill's production efficiency and product quality. How deeply should a pellet mill's ring die be worn before it should be scrapped, replaced, or replaced? What are the criteria for ring die wear? JNSHARE believes that the following situations require timely ring die replacement.

1. Coarsening: Due to the weakening of the ring die's pressing capacity, the particle size becomes uneven. The ring die's aperture is too large, resulting in unstable pellets and excessively large pellet diameters that do not meet specifications. The ring die should be replaced promptly.

2. Decreased Output: Severe ring die wear leads to decreased output.

3. Increased Temperature: The ring die has reached the end of its service life, and frictional heat causes the die to heat up.
