Alternatively, you can observe the tooth depth. When wear exceeds 70% of the tooth depth, the pellet forming rate will significantly decrease to below 75%. At this point, the pressure roller's ability to grasp raw material is insufficient, the discharge speed slows down, and there is more loose material. In this case, the pressure roller should be replaced. Since the pressure roller is a crucial and easily worn part of the pellet mill, the material selection during custom manufacturing should consider its strength, wear resistance, and compaction resistance. High-quality pressure rollers have a longer service life. Furthermore, regular maintenance and inspection are also important measures to ensure the normal operation of the pressure roller and extend its service life.
